Rasing the capacity significantly at LR is almost certainly impossible

The one chance we had was when Wright was offered the Land behind the school end by the council for NOTHING and turned it down

The footprint the land is on is too small and also bear in mind the terrible legroom at LR currently, people would not accept that legroom in any sort of redevelopment, every club owner since Wright has looked into all the options, it just doesnt add up

It seems to me now that the most likely location will be in the old oak common/park royal/harrow road region which will put it very close to HS2/Crossrail where there will be enough space for a football ground with space for extended facilities such as hotel casino etc
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

For me Old Oak Common by the Scrubs is the way to go as it will complement the current plans to regenerate the area with HS2 and Park Royal City. Most clubs when they build a new ground want to be part of a bigger development we are in the fortunate position where we could have this without having had to contribute other then the cost of a ground. If we could stay in the Bush we have Westfield on our door step. If we pulled off Old Oak Common/Scrubs were part of Park Royal City

There is a huge plot of Land in Park Royal by Diageo which over looks Wembely Stadium which is begging to be developed but there is not an awful lot around there facility wise so although it has huge potential I think a development there would need other investors to come in on. The footprint is massive and is a blank canvas for any designer to come up with a ground, shopping and offices etc

HMP Wormwood Scrubs would be ideal, we could lease out the parking to commuters and hospital staff. Still be in Shepherds Bush too:pleasantsuprise:

            Spot on.

Just improve the facilities we have.

I know that land by diageo as i work not too far from there.the land where diageo sits is
Reportedly where one of our old grounds use to sit.
If we did move back to park royal is there an issue we will be slightly stepping on gooner territory?...
At least in terms of fanbase.

Not for me mate Park Royal in my book is 100% Rangers territory yes theres plenty of Gooners, Spuds and Chelsea in the area but then there are all over London NW10 is Rangers heartland its 15mins from Loftus Road

no time for the attitude of some fans attacking "tourists" etc. think there's a minority in our fan base that wd actually be happier if we were playing in the reymans league and they were one of about six supporters just to prove how dedicated they were. if you don't want your club to succeed and grow, why bother cheering it on to win and being downcast when you lose? you might as well just accept failure if that's your attitude.

Fair point but I think if you went in Millwall, Palace or Charlton areas etc you will see tops of the big three in London as well as Man Utd and Liverpool bagdges floating about thats just how it is

It does wind me up on match days walking through the Bush when were playing the likes of Wigan and seeing people/kids in Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool gear walking about. I think you have a club on your door step why you not backing them.

i'm with you on this...( i wonder if Brighton fans still wish they were at the Withdean?)but its not just tourists, what about the next generation of R's fans. Some people on here take it for granted that we will always have that 10k hardcore.I have had trouble getting tickets for me and my nephew. The problem?we cant get seats next to each other(he's too young to sit by himself)so whats happened now?his friend has started getting him in at the Emirates,so now he's slowly becoming a Gooner.I managed once last year to get him and his 4 mates in LR for the Everton game(they are a mixture of Chelsea and Arsenal)it was the Everton game,we were in the bottom tier of the school end. That was the last time i could get us all together.I was sure that a few more trips might have converted them.
I have been going since the early 80's,back them,we had a capacity of 27k.I could rock up on the day and pay at the gate.I talked some mates at school into going too..guess what, they became QPR fans
                              We need a new ground
Look at some of the designs on the continent...also,in Canada, they have just built a new stadium,on 2 tiers. The top tier can be curtained off, leaving a bottom "bowl of around 20k for anticipated smaller attendances
my fav is the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg, two overhanging tiers, holding 16k each
