Key is if we go down we must re-assess, clear out dead wood or underachiving players but retain a significant amount of prem quality players to hopefully come back quickly. If we do the aim will be to come back stronger and learn from the mistakes. It never did Newcastle or West Brom any harm in the long run dropping for a season, it's just typical of us, if we do go down, that we do it just as the money gets massive, pretty much the same as in 96.
At the end of the day since TF came in we've struggled non stop for whatever reason. Maybe dropping and possibly having a positive year will be good for the club and the owners etc to get a positive vibe back around the club, and let us springboard from it. Big if, but if we came back 1st time, i'm certain we would be stronger when back in the prem as a result.
That said, obvioulsy i hope we stay up, and there;s still a lot to play for and there will be plenty of twists as with any run in.

Sounds like a nice enough fella but either doesnt have a scooby when it comes to running a football club or has been naive and been taken for a ride by numerous managers, agents, players and anyone else who is looking for a rich punter and an easy pay out. Still his PR tweets about his "lifelong commitment" seems to placate most of the fans and we now NEED him to remain and keep paying the bills so i spose there is nothing that can be done except bend over and hope he treats us gently.

Apart from Anton Ferdinand (even though many were happy as he was an upgrade on Perone and Gabbidon), I cant think of one player anyone here was not happy with. Hindsight is a wonderful thing etc.

Or do you want Briatore back, shouting for Gavin ****** Mahon to come on???

So far his chairmanship has been abject faliure as far as we are concerned. His airline has probably benefited from us being a marketing vehicle so i suppose its not all bad as far as Tone is concerned. His inability to appoint the right staff in critical positions as hurt us badly this past 2 seasons and i am not convinced some of these signings of poor players on vast sums of money every week are purely the managers choice. Still he has got another season next year to get it right as we literally cannot survive without huge investment now on thanks to him and his backing (blind faith?). If it had been a success and we would have had a couple of seasons mid table then he would be riding the plaudits as a great owner. However it hasnt been a success at all and the buck stops with Tony.
