I really wanted to hear this from Tony F, because I have never, ever felt so miserable because of a fotball match.
When I read about his enthusiasm, If feel We are very, very lucky have him in charge, becauseI feel he is very good when it comes to man-management.This "project" obviously means a lot to him. While on the subject, I hope Harry stays with us aswell. But if he chooses to leave, I have a few candidates lined up already ..

Well i guess i am a bit more cynical than most as i still dont buy it from Tony. He's a clever one old Tone and knows what to say and when to say it. Twitter was made for salesmen such as Tone :-). Dont get me wrong i think he is genuinely a nice guy and has the clubs interests at heart but obviously only as long as they match his interests. The guys a businessman and it works for him to come across like he does, passionate and so full of fervour. Nearly all the fans love him and trust him.
Lots of talk about stuff such as academy's and new stadiums and training grounds etc...but thats all it is so far just talk. We all know that he isnt afraid to throw money at stuff to reach his goals whether its his money or someone elses its not all that clear. He didnt pick us to invest in because he had a sudden love for the club, he picked us as a club that is a vehicle for his own ends. He wants marketing for his airline as that is his main business and he has alluded to that fact in interviews. A London premiership club is a fantastic marketing vehicle for someone like Tone and its just a shame that throwing endless money at it hasnt put right some of the fundamental things that are wrong at our club.
Guess money doesnt solve everything? Like i sadi i am just more cynical and in the next 1 to 2 years Tone could prove my cynicism wrong by sorting out the problems and walking the walk instead of just talking about it. But until then ill continue to view him as that silver tongued salesman that just sold you something but your not quite sure you ever needed it in the first place. One things for sure he has certainly been succesfull in raising the clubs profile which is no bad thing....just a shame it isnt for the right reasons.

What have the Romans ever given us?

As they said in Life of Brian

I'm not anti TF, far from it, I've had the pleasure of meeting the man
My blah, blah, blah comment that got manys goat was exactly due to the above comments about silver tounged salesmen
GP was apparently cracking company but was a liar, said many positive things about the club and the future. I hold him totally culpable for the bigger mess we got in -- I always said in his position you carry the can top to bottom

I'm not going to be a hypocrite -- the same rules have to apply for Tony. He's presided over disaster and appointed proper pups
Plenty of soundbites but nil in terms of action or delivery

He bangs a drum very well but communication is a two way thing and I just feel I'm being talked at and not too
Next season will be another watershed one for my club (how many in the last two decades?!??!) and how we come out the other side will dictate Tonys place in QPR folklore
A strong club, well connected with its fanbase, generating players with future value, pushing to get into mid table of Prem and the concrete being poured at Warren Farm with a classy football nous CEO should give TF a well deserved knighthood. I hope it does as he's a lovely fella who works media well which can only help my club grow.

The other scenario is Wolves, yet more unserviceable debt and a route that don't bear thinking about

I've yet to see much to convince me but have heard a lot of talk
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

            good post.

i just hate someone whos been here 2 minutes telling us whats best for the club, thrown money at players, managers and agents time and time again and failed time and time again. We dont need a new ground and thats one thing he keeps banging on about.

i really hope im wrong on TF, but i just worry that its all gonna crumble and he'll swan off, using the i speant money excuse for getting off without blame once the club is in financial free fall.

Seriously the guy can't win. Starting to think we really are a joke club with some of the comments by supporters. Puts his money where his mouth is and people still doubt the guy. No one will ever be good enough to be the chairman and owner if this guys not.

How people say we don't need a new stadium is laughable. The guy guy has a plan, a vision for the future, he states his intentions and people still think he's blowing smoke. We have more saleable assets than we've had in years and yet people still doubt him. What does he have to do to make people happy. We should be a club up north they way people moan. Starting to think we should be situated in Sheffield... Get your coat Tony, we're not worthy. Lets go back to not having a pot to **** in with fans standing outside collect 1's and 2p's.

Good post Dazzer, agree with all that.

At the end of the day as fans you get the club you deserve. Cliché I know, but its a cliché because it's true.

Agree with you big time Dazzer. Some people are never statisfied, moaning is what they do. We could win the f*cking league and they'd whine we should have won by more points!

TF made one big mistake, in appointing MH, but it was a mistake anybody could have made. I don't remember this board coming out in mass condemnation at the time. Some people are also very wise after the fact!

And what do people expect, to go to sleep one night and wake up to a brand new stadium for Christmas?! FFS. These things take time and the fact that TF and team are looking into it is very encouraging (as much as I love LR and, for all it's faults, would miss it). Samba and Remy, and all the players that Hughes signed that TF paid for (in wages and transfer fees) amount to walking the walk big time.

We have one of the best owners in the league and I for one believe that what he says comes from the heart.

he's thrown money at joke players who have left us bottom of the leauge, i just dont see whats changed since he got here except we are even more of a laughing stock than before and are falling further and further away from the rest of the league.

we are a small club who shouldnt be paying these transfer fees/ wages.

if we move out of shepherds bush the heart and soul will leave as well, and we will be another coventry.

Mate don't even bother with some of these on here. I don't even give them the time of day... Like Tony should on twitter - just ignore the muppets.

Think that was his point in cheering you up. We have had 2 embarrassing very poor seasons under TF while he has had some priceless marketing for his airline. Wants the fans on his side and he is an expert at talking the talk. Hopefully realised that throwing money at the playing staff just isnt going to work and next season gets someone in to help Beard set the club on the right course, someone with football experience if Harry doesnt stay.

Only time will tell if the more cynical amongst us are right or not, but Tony s hardly likely to come out and say ,he`s off if were relegated ,is he ? ( and you dont get to be as successfull a businesss man as him ,without making some ruthless decisions ,that upset people .
I`m not saying ,i definately think that will happen ,but its not beyond the realms of possibility .
