Been reading this site and others for the last few years but never felt the need to post as a bit of a sensitive old soul and don't want to fall out with fellow R's.
Followed Rangers for almost 40 years and just starting to feel slightly better after that sickener yesterday. What got me was that we had complete control and had we not needlessly conceded at the end of the of the first half we would have been celebrating a great win last night.
I now think we are down but come kick off at our next game I wil still believe we can do it if we pick up the 3 points. Like most Rangers fans ever the optimist. What does **** me off is the flak aimed at Fernandes. I respect everyone is entitled to their own opinion and here is mine;
Since being in the premiership the calibre of players we have bought has been beyond may wildest dreams. Most have seriously under performed and cost Hughes his job although he should have ensured that the team spirit was there which now is clear he failed to do.
As a business man entering into a new field you appoint "experts" to guide you and bring you up to speed. Fenandes did that but has been let down by Hughes and Rigg. When they were appointed I was over the moon and now accept I was wrong. That said, in my eyes Fernandes did the right thing at the time.
Whatever happens this year life will go on and my support for Rangers will never wilt. I remember the days of going Port Vale away and being humiliated. Remember administration? If we go down it will be sickening but I honestly believe Fernandes will stick with us and I will back him 100% until otherwise. He has exceeded all expectations in trying to keep us in the Premiership. Seriously, Samba at QPR? Who would have believed that!!
Relegation or not don't give up the faith as I know you won't. That's why We Are QPR!
