  • Clutching at straws

I know I might be clutching at draws here, but I can't see Sunderland picking up many points. They failed to beat Norwich at home despite having an extra player on the field for 60 minutes of the game, and they needed a penalty to get a draw.
Sunderland's remaining fixtures are: Manchester United (home), Chelsea (away), Newcastle (away), Everton (home), Aston Villa (away), Stoke (home), Southampton (home) and Tottenham (away).
Maybe it's too much for us to claw back, but i'm sure plenty of Wigan fans will now fancy their chances of surviving

That is a difficult run-in, and QPR can catch them, but I am not feeling confident right now. QPR should have had the game wrapped up by half time yesterday, but ended up with nothing.
QPR will need a home run in like last season to have any hope of staying up, but will also need at least one more away win.

I agree. The way we lost yesterday it felt like the nail in the coffin. We could have gone in at half time 3-0 up and would have been 1 point off safety if would have won the game. But oh well, that's football unfortunately. I'm sure there will be a few more twists and turns
