David McIntyre says he's "not wanted at Rangers" and he only went on loan to Blackburn ‏"because a permanent move didnt go through".

He had almost a 1 in 2 scoring ratio when Blackpool were in the PL two years ago. Granted he hasn't scored yet for Blackburn but the rest of his stats speak for themselves:

    2009 Blackpool: scored 9 in 20
    2010 Derby County: scored 3 in 8
    2010 Blackpool: scored 8 in 15
2011 Blackpool: scored 13 in 31 (in the PL)
    2012 Ipswich Town: scored 10 in 17

    Not to mention he's a life-long R's fan.

When we're so short on fire-power and given all of the above it's a mystery to me why Harry has got rid of him

The Both has three in five since January and wasn't even on the bench yesterday.

Nothing reported. Suspect Mackie kept him off the bench..... That would begger belief.

He travelled, but there has been a bug going round the camp.

Anyway, back to the OP, I'd be interested to hear fans' views on this. Thanks.

This has been done to death. DJ could only play alongside another striker IMO but not someone like Remy I think he would need BZ but there's no way he should play ahead of Remy

Have always said I wanted DJ to be given a shot, especially given our lack of options up front. Reckon he must have had a falling out with Arry because surely he wouldn't have left us so short up top otherwise without actually getting any money for DJ?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Its an unsolved mystery of why DJ did not get many games starting

NW got him and did not play him much and same with MH and Harry

Got plenty of goals with previous clubs and we did not even give him a proper go

Yes, DJ's strengths and weaknesses have been discussed before, but what hasn't been discussed are the true reasons behind Harry giving him a squad place and then seemingly casting aside a proven PL goalscorer for no apparent or obvious reason, certainly no reason that has ever been given to the media or fans.

Completely agree mate that I'd like him to have been given a try. I think Harry only played him in one FA cup match before discarding him. Yes all we can do is speculate over a possible falling out and ambiguous tweets from Dave McIntyre like "i think it was best for both parties he moved on" and his other quotes in my OP. Personally, as fans, I think we're entitled to a bit more clarity on the matter.

Bothroyd wasn't ill by the way, confirmed on Twitter that he was ready to play but just wasn't picked.

He's not good enough for the PL simple as that... Harp on about when he was at the Donkey Lashers all you like but since then he's looked very ordinary when in the PL... No matter how many games he's had or hasn't.... I remember a hideous miss against Manure last season right in front of our (and his no doubt) beloved Loft.... Clutching at straws and however you look at it we are DEFINITELY one of the worst 3 teams this season and deserve to be relegated am afraid....:( Beastly to have to say these kind of things but there you have it....:(

BuffooneRy, he's played a total of 11 games for us since he signed. He was smashing them in for Blackpool before that in the PL and for Ipswich since then. Can you honestly say he's been given a fair crack of the whip for us? Bothroyd completely flopped on loan at Sheff Wed by comparison, Zamora can barely last 45 mins and Johnson is out for the whole season. That's why it just doesn't make sense, even taking your points on board.

It was even brought up at the last fans forum and Harry just brushed the question aside as if he didn't really want to answer it, saying that he was out on loan and could be recalled if needed with a few weeks notice.

Maybe Harry doesn't rate him when he sees him in training but I still stick by my last comments that he's not up to snuff... Obviously Harry was after PO from WBA but that didn't materialise although it gave everyone a good chuckle just to add to the general pantomime them of the club this season...
