It was actually quite upsetting to see. Deepcut covers the concern I had well in his post. Tom was QPR and a soldier and up to Marshy turning up the posts were heart warming and non topical.

If a fan died who was a policeman or teacher or some other profession we wouldn't accept a political twist on condolences.

Felt quite sad about it today which I've never had from posting on here.
This. It's because that selfish troll takes such pleasure in upsetting and annoying people that so many of us want him banned. I note that only a handful of those opposing that ban actually positively support the fella. That, amazingly, fails to penetrate his arrogant self obsession.

      No it is not.

Funerals are a very emotional occasion. The event is still very much happening. This is an online forum. Three years have passed, and we don't even know if any of Tom's family are ever going to read that message. So for you to compare them, is just completely wrong, and I am sad the lengths people would go to to try and put someone down.

Incidentally, if someone said to me that Tom's family are going to read the thread, then I probably would not have posted anything there but RIP, for fear of offending them. But I do not know if they will ever read it or not. Furthermore, I have been told off for creating too many threads, and that is why I did not want to create another one, especially on a political subject, because then people would say I am seeking attention, and I only have a few days left here (as the poll closes on Monday and the mods have already decided they will use the results of the poll to decide on whether I should be allowed to post or not), and I want to be able to post tomorrow and Sunday as I think Sunderland is a critical game, and so am doing nothing that might get me an infraction point.

            Exactly.

But some people don't like views being aired that go against what they feel, and so will try and do anything to try and draw comparison with something unpleasant.

              No Kirill not you.
I think you have improved massively and I do think at time you have been 'influenced'

For me Quaz needs to be banned, id give him a year, possibly life because he played a huge part in the nazis nature of the old modding. Yes along time ago but the way he abused his position will never sit right with me.

Blackmafia for bringing pointless arguments into a debate.

Finally and this one pains me to say, Brighton should do the right thing and step down. Not for doing anything nasty but for letting down some good posters that needed him to speak out down badly

              That is all.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I am not harshy. I don't even agree with his "Remy should not start".

Look, dude, you might not like me, and that's fair enough. But trust me on this, I am not here to fight. It might be true that difference of opinions lead me to end up having a fight, but that is not my goal. I even left before once because I was tired of it, and I am willing to accept the mods giving me a life ban, because I really do not want to come here and keep arguing with people. Life is short, and when I grow old and am about to die, I don't want to look back upon it with regret, remembering all the times I was on an online forum arguing with people.

Once they ban me, that's it. I promise on all things dear to me that I will not create any "secret" personalities and post. If someone does come here and pretends to be Marshy, I suggest you just ignore that person, because that person would definitely not be me.

                • As everyone else has said , time and a place , and to make your comment on the condolence thread for a lost soldier was just wrong. I was in the keep Marshy camp ,just for the sake of free speech ,( even though I think youve got so much growing up to do ,and people skills to aquire ) . But not now , just go.

I think the best tribute one can give to a fallen soldier is to ensure other soldiers do not follow in needless wars.

Strangely enough, I did not even hijack it. Whenever I pay condolences to one of our boys, I also pay condolences to the Afghans we have killed, because I am sure not all Taliban are barbaric, some might be fighting because they just don't like foreign troops on their soil. They too are someone's son, father, brother and friend, and so I also give my condolences to them. So I also paid condolences to them, and said our troops should not be there. I did not swear at anyone, and when I saw it was going to become one of those argumentative threads, I said no more.
So having posted once and people reacted, did you then stop posting? Did you apologise? No, you posted again and proceeded to make the thread more about you than the Keogh family.

There's a time and a place and there's also knowing when to stop.

I am going to report you to the moderators, and I hope they take action, because your abuse of a poster who did not direct any abuse at you is not on.

And, no, soldiers who die out there are not dying for us. They're dying for the rich, for the elite, but they're definitely not dying for us.

This does not make their loss any less sad, but if people realised how those in power use wars to keep themselves in power, maybe we would have less wars and less soldiers would die.

                          • Don't believe they are dying for us either, and all these politicians making these massive decision, wouldn't send their own kids out there but agree RIP was the way to go. It was about the loss of life of a hero and QPR fan. It's a huge sad loss and 1 I don't think should be happening, about time we got our soldiers out of there.

But I did stop. I got told to **** off, and I just explained why my post was made, saying I wish he would have been alive today. And then I got more abuse, but I did not post. So, yes, I did stop.

If you don't like me, fair enough, but please do not let your dislike of someone cloud your judgement to the extent that you start attributing things to them that are just not true.

                              To reiterate, I did stop.

You've just said you don't know if they will ever read it. In that case why post something which even runs the risk of causing offence if there is a chance one of his family may read it? And as it's a popular QPR forum I would say there is a high chance of that. So to avoid that risk why not simply offer your condolences and just leave it at that, just like everyone else did? In fact in the entire history of this site I can't remember a single condolence thread ever being spoilt in such a way.
