Most of the 57 aren't well respected, most of them are lackeys, who don't like it when someone goes against their view. If you criticise Harry, no matter how reasonable your criticism is, they will start calling you clueless, and not being true fans of the club. It is only when things start going bad do they then start to criticise the manager, and then act as if they knew all along the manager was not suitable.
Case in point: Mark Hughes. Go and read my opinion on him. I stated he is not a good manager, that he is not the right one for us, that he was mediocre at Fulham, yet there were people arguing with me that he is a proven good manager. Now those very people say MH was sh1te.
I don't believe in knee-jerk nonsense, or forming opinions just because Shearer or some other ***** said so. I like to analyse all the facts, and then come to my own conclusions.
I would like to be able to continue posting, as this is a very special season, and the club is in a very interesting point in it's history. It is important that we have people like me who give thoughtful insight on the current situation of the club and where it is heading, because there are not many people here who think for themselves, and so there is the danger that the club could head in the wrong direction and it is too late before people realise. But it seems as if you will let the poll decide my fate, and I am sorry, it IS mob justice. It is a few bullies that have stirred up an atmosphere of hate that has influenced normal people to join in and want me banned. The whole tenet of freedom of speech is that people with opinions that are unpopular should be allowed to express them. I mean, no one in a democratic society wants to ban popular opinions, it is always the unpopular opinions that they want banned. And that is why freedom of speech exists, because sometimes, opinions that might be unpopular, might not be so because they're "wrong", but because they're opinions that don't make people feel good about themselves. No one wants to hear bad things being said about their clubs, but let me tell you this - if Leeds or Pompey or Glasgow Rangers fans had sat up and criticised their clubs, they would not be in the sorry situation where they are today.

I voted to keep Marshy.
I don't understand the controversy with him, the anti Marshy brigade are divided and have no coherent argument. One faction say his arguments are alright but it's the way he puts them across which supports a ban, the other anti Marshy faction says he's a troll and label him a Chelski fan. The two arguments the anti marshy brigade cannot sit together as clearly by definition a troll cannot have sensible arguments.
As to the populism, I defer to Deepcut, what he and Winston Churchill say is on the money:
The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.
Change voter to poster and you get the drift.
Also not sure Marshy's points are that heathen and in fact are very QPR in content, set out a few but not an exhaustive list
1 Bothroyd is rubbish.
2 Marshy said a number of games ago HR should be more attacking.
3 Adel is quality.
4 TF and AR are Hammers - pre-take over some queried TFs credentials and that of AR, difference is Marshy's carried it on, how many posters are slating MH now for being Chelski but when in post said he was the great vision of QPR.
On the bullying, this is a subjective test, he thinks he's getting bullied and threads like this don't help. However other posters have lost it on a lot less and been far more offensive but no mob justice was invoked.
Also when posters as diverse as TW, Geng, W12 and Deeps have a common bond by way of keep the Marshy, you got to think something's happening in a Braveheart type of way when differing clans united for FREEDOMLast edited by TBLOCKRANGER; 06-03-2013, 09:24 PM.

And please re-read what I wrote, with the pertinent word in bold: "This was an exceptional circumstance in which ONE poster has become the constant cause of thread-hijacking and flame-wars"

Originally posted by brightonr View PostYes Terry, in the case to which I think you refer, in my opinion. Just as some things such as tactics, team selection, player performance are clearly a matter of opinion. Who is to say one view is more or less valid than another? But when serious accusations are made, then I happen to be of the opinion that they should not, unless those making them can provide some degree of proof. However, I am just as open to persuasion otherwise now, as I was then.
But there have been other instances of such accusations, where clearly things were made up to suit certain agendas.
I can't help but get the impression that you think I want to have a different opinion to you on a certain matter. That couldn't be further from the truth. Logically, why would I want that to be the case? What difference could it possibly make to me?
Good to see you back posting, by the way.

How do you know? You can't make that judgement based solely on what people post? If they didn't think for themselves, there wouldn't be any arguments, surely?
A lot of people think for themselves but don't feel it necessary to ram those thoughts down the throats of others. Share them maybe......
