as much as a bellend joey is.. he does everything to win. thats what we need. he may open his mouth too much but end of the day he will get the players up for a game which clearly they are not now.

i'm more disappointed with his performances rather than the man city affair. still think his 12 games for "giving it some" is pathetic - considering terry gets 4...#mindboggles

Not sure what is happening with him. Read some of his tweets and it doesn't seem like he has played for Marseilles yet.

He's been serving his 12 match ban that's why. I think he may have got a run in a cup match though.

As for would he help us.... well we have Faurlin who can't get a game at the moment and was excellent when he played, so don't see us needing Joey in the middle, althugh Derry is next back up.... and he's better than Derry.

What Joey does offer though is the option to play wide, as he did for Newcastle, and at the same time offer a more defensive midfield.

At the end of the day he is better than other players who are currently in our squad, and on our bench, so yes we could certainly use him and it would be stupid to suggets otherwise, however, i don't think he will ever come back to play.

He was awful for us last season (apart from 3/4 games at the end of the season which some people get excited about for some reason). He couldn't pass, he couldn't deliver a set piece, no creativity, was constantly digging out other players, scored twice and was so average in CM we had to accommodate him on the right, where he was equally as useless... and that's not even mentioning all the stuff he said & did off the pitch.

Madness to consider bringing him back IMO.

I disagree- watching him last season it was clear a lot of the time his shouting had the opposite effect to galvanising the team.
