So if Barton is going...

He was on a huge wage, played poorly for at least 50% of the time he was with us, got sent off twice(including during a game our survival depended on), rumoured to have caused dressing room unrest, slated Taraabt publicly, got in a bust up outside of a nightclub, brought the club into disrepute with his public twitter slanging matches, said he dearly missed Newcastle because they're a proper club(whilst still our player). It ended with a massive public rant at the expense of our football club, and his parting shot was to attempt to dissuade Mbia from joining us. That's not to mention his criminal record the length of my arm. Am i missing something here? That's really the type of person we want at QPR?

2) Bust up outside a nightclub? Dont really think he was at fault when 2 geezers try attacking him when hes with his girlfriend. Cmon.
3) Criminal record - his past off the pitch issues have any bearing on him playing football for us? No it doesnt.
4) Parting shot missuading Mbia coming? Clutching at straws abit tryng to tarnish Barton further there? Reading into it way too much.
Yes, his tweeting about Newcastle etc was a load of b0ll0x and annoyed all Rs fans. But tbh, we know he's gone and has no future with us. Whether we're disapointed to see the back of him or not, thats each to their own, but some on here seem to have some of personal vendetta against Barton and will do anything to make him sound as bad as possible. As listed above.
At the end of the day can anybody thats attended the first 2 games of this season honestly say that they dont think we've missed him in the middle? All I care about is our on the pitch performances and, IMO, we miss what he brings to the pitch. Gladly see him gone, so long as we replace him with a no nonsense CM.You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

1) It's not really an outrageous rumour considering he's caused dressing room rest at the majority of his other clubs? Remember whilst Warnock was still in charge, and there was that report suppodedly from someone inside the dressing room, about how Joey was happy to sit and criticise other people performance when analysing match tapes- yet when he recieved a bit of stick from the head coach, responded with something along the lines of "what have you ever achieved in football?". Most people seemed to agree it sounded very plausible at the time.
2) This is an example of the "turning a blind eye" i referred to. He's a convincted violent criminal, and you're saying you're willing to assume he's completely blameless in another violent altercaton?
3) Yes it does. Sure, his past issues don't effect what happens on the pitch itself, but they certainly have relevance to the light in which our club is seen. Our club has recieved a lot of negative press for having him among the squad. We like to pride ourselves on being a "family club", and he doesn't fit in with that ethos. Don't we want role models at QPR? I'd happily forgoe a bit of success if it means maintaining a self respecting football club that doesn't stoop to an "ends justify the means" attitude.
4)I'm not sure how that's clutching at straws. He knows how poorly we're playing, and knows we need a defender, but is attempting to stop a defender coming to us. That doesn't strike me as a man with much respect for QPR? Not that we were left in any doubt of that fact when he publicly criticised the club yesterday. Why should we let him off that? I hope it's not just because he's joey barton, and because that's just the kind of thing he does. If any of our other players publicly published and outburst like his yesterday they'd be crucified.
He didn't play very well whilst he was with us either! Faurlin far out shone him before he got injured- that's the kind of guy we want at QPR.

I don't know what more all these anti-Barton fans want? He's leaving the club, and yet they're still raking over his past, his brother's misdemeanors, what next? his mum & dad? Sounds to me like they're going to miss their hate figure, and are trying to convince us fans that didn't turn against one of our own players that they are right.......really they are!!

i can recall probably 3 or 4 gameswhere he played well . Dont forget he was booed off against Liverpool for a reason, he was playing like a league 1 player . Fair play he came back and delivere 4 good games after but if you look at his contribution as a whole it was poor.
