Heartbreaking seeing that photo of Gazza on previous page...bloke was one of our best ever footballers. What a shame he refuses to be helped.

In fairness to Harry, I expect he recalls seeing him in the condition that he was when someone posted up a pic of them both a few weeks back.

He obviously wouldn't entertain such a though now, surely.

A real shame that he has almost drunk himself to death. Just as most of us expected him to in the end.

Standard Harry sound bite interview......'smashing fella' etc etc

Every HR interview is the same.

When you look at that picture I think it's fair to say he has drunk himself to death..... only a matter of time!

This guy was pure footballing talent. IMO no Englishman has come close to what he could do. So sad!

shocking, sadly Gazza needs to be off the hooch for a year or so before he is offered any job. Nice gesture by Harry if not a bit ill advised
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

I heard the interview live and he didnt offr him a job, he said that the last time he spoke to him he said that Paul could get picked up in the mornings with him and come into training to keep himself busy.

Sorry but no time for the bloke. I am not naive to illness, I had alot of sympathy for him the first, second and even third times we saw such headlines. However, the bloke has had the very best professional help countless times and thrown it all away, he is beyond help.

If his story was told but "ex professional footballer Paul Gascoigne" was replaced with "jobless John Smith of Hartlepool" he would be lambasted as a drain on society and a woman beating wrong un.

It's tragic, yes, but exactly as WeAre says, there are people out there far more deserving of the treatment & help he has squandered numerous times before.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I've known people like this over the years and unfortunately, there is no help for them. They try the help available, but it's not enough, their demons have usurped any free will and turned them into slaves of self destruction...

I nominate Pete Doherty or Danielle Westbrook.

Surely the former takes precedent, what with being an R n all

Remember Holloway on Doherty before: "Anybody who is a QPR fan is welcome at Loftus Road. I'd be happy for him to turn up for a kickabout, just so long as he brings that Kate Moss with him - she's absolutely lovely."
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

Make you right on that, but i honestly think we should save our prayers and use them on the three people a million times worse off, and more off their heads on drink or gear than gazza and pete put together.

The three complete nut nuts on this forum who voted he should be given a job with rangers.

I am thinking of voting yes, but need clarification.

Is it a sausage roll you see him into?

Exactly Kev, I heard it too.

This is the interview I think http://talksport.com/football/exclus...e-140822109310. The bit about Gazza is towards the end.

Harry just says to come and do something on the training pitch. No job offer in sight.
