Gotta be a better option in the middle than LTC, Kelvin or Gaz Oneill surely? The season EG played for us we shipped Barton out, I think these two could work nicely together.

And I wouldn't trust Diakite to lace his boots let aloneplay this season. Sad to say but I think the blokes finished :( a shame.

Results of this poll say it all.. Keep the lad, he works hard, has good technique and played champions league last season.

He also seems to get on VERY well with Ale and the lads, so cant be bad at all

1 game and he came on as a sub in a 2-0 loss!!

Only thing I would agree on is that he is MUCH better than Tom Carroll

Yes, cos all of our other players would start a champions league game for a champions league club wouldn't they?

well lets not forget before he came he averaged about 30 appearences a season for Madrid for 3 years prior. That in itself speaks volumes and he is relatively young also.

You cant class Granero as one of those 'Mercenaries'.. his never said a bad word about rangers and seems to train hard

Then we have two stories Granero saying he wants to play in the PL - HR saying he wants out
Granero is a professional footballer, employed and contracted to QPR who pay his wages - wanting out does not mean anything, that is what his bosses should be telling him.

He probably said he wouldn't mind going back to Real Sociedad but the press probably turned that into he wants out. Another thing is that if he did say he wanted out that was before he came back for pre season where it is now a completely different atmosphere to the one he left so in a couple weeks time and hopefully some new signings things might seem different for him.
Me personally I would love to see him get some game time in the centre of midfield where he could dictate our game with his passing.

If he wanted to be here I'd have said give him another chance. As terrible as he was in 2012/13, I don't think you can fairly judge any player on the shambles that Mark Hughes put together for that season.

According to Redknapp he has his heart said on a return to Real Sociedad, in which case I would be inclined to say get whatever we can for him and get him off the wage bill!

Did HR really say that - if so it was really stupid of him because now we can only sell him to Real Sociedad
Better if HR had said that Granero has a lot to proof to his club, the fans and himselfe - he can do it by playing well in the PL

I don't think he was terrible, bit harsh for me that. Best player on the pitch for me when we played Spurs, although we still lost us the game 2-1 (Sept 2012). There were plenty of other good games too. I just think he lacks a yard of pace for the Premiership which is why he is much better suited for the Spanish league. Remove the top three/four teams and the pace drops hence why he shines. Decent player IMO, just hasn't worked out for him in the English league.

Why lie? If the player don't want to be here then why should we paper over the cracks? Real Sociedad will come in for him, they just don't want to pay the money. Something Redknapp was just indicating.

keep him, we've got much worse players at the club and we won't get good money for him

Arry just wants him gone so he can sign ones of his nephews

And yet Onuoha has said that Granero wants to play for us in the Prem this season.

It's a different environment now to how it was under Hughes and then HR when Granero was last with us. Hopefully he will benefit from the more positive atmosphere we now have at the club.
