Adel to return for pre-season training - do we want him?
So for Adel the only reason he's a QPR player is that no one will take him on but for Joey it took balls to come back? Surely it's the same reason for both why they are still QPR players.
ding ding! some hilarious double standards on display here.
Robert Green, sits on the bench for a year, earning a huge salary Top lad Greeno, never complained, grafted to win his place back, wanted to stay with us to help out in the Championship
Julio Cesar, sits on the bench for a year, earning a huge salary Greedy bar steward, thought he was too good for the Championship
Joey Barton, goes abroad on loan, mocks QPR, tries to go elsewhere but no one wants him Had the balls to come back, wanted to help us out in the Championship, reformed attitude
Adel Taarabt, goes abroad on loan, not remotely as disrespectful towards QPR as Barton, tries to go elsewhere but no one wants him Lazy coward, good riddance, never liked him anyway
If his attitude is good and he turns up on time, wanting to be in a TEAM then I would love him to stay.. He may be more open to staying again now he knows Traore has signed a contract extension. Think they were like best mates before?
Adel has flopped three years in succession in the Premiership. Maybe time to move on? He is far better suited to a slower paced league.
People say he was one of our better players after we went up. He had a handful of decent games. A lot of the time looked hopelessly out of his depth.
I have some great memories of him from a few years back but so much has happened I don't even look on him as an Rs player. I doubt whether he does either. The only reason he's still here is nobody else will take him on. That to me speaks volumes if he is so great at the top level. He is here in name only.
Big difference between Joey and Adel is the former has proved he can cut it at Premiership level and he grafts. I'm not Joey's greatest fan and think he's thick as a brick but can't fault his effort. Also took balls to come back after the way he behaved towards us while at Marseilles. Could have sulked and refused and made it impossible. I actually think he has learned from it all.
Just to correct another common misconception.
Adel does "graft", just not in the way your average Soccer AM fan understands it. Adel was consistently our hardest working player with the ball (ie a good 40% of the time), even in the Prem. Go back to our PL games and watch how he's always drifting round looking for space and wanting the ball. And then compare that to Barton standing still watching the ball.
This ridiculous obsession with "grafting" is a great example of why the English team is so poor. Football teams aren't made up of 11 Shaun Derrys or 11 Adel Taarabts. Why don't we have huge threads asking why Charlie Austin can't control a football? Where is the thread asking why Barton hoofs several hollywood balls out for goal kicks every game?

Big difference. Joey got sent on loan. Adel chose to go.
Will people wake up and look at what's happened. Done nothing with us in the prem. we got relegated. Done nothing with fulham. They got relegated.
A lot on here always claimed he would be better suited to a bigger club. Well, you can't get bigger than AC Milan. Apart from 1 game, where admitidly he was superb, he hardly set the world alight, and they won't be signing him after the loan.
Not really a cv of a world class player.
People need to realise he had potential, but due to his attitude and application he will never be anything other than a championship player. Anyone who thinks otherwise, just look at his attempts in the top flight.

Is it unreasonable to expect a player (any player not necessarily Adel) to graft with or without the ball as your stats above suggest some owe us 60% more effort or perhaps they could give back 60% of their wages
Appears to divide opinion on here but clearly not amongst the football world. As I have said many times, if his fan club are right and he gets a rough deal from some on here and really is this super talented player that really does shine with better players, THEN WHY DOES NO ONE IN FOOTBALL WANT HIM. It's not rocket science average players are going for millions but no one wants poor Adel, even though our club doesn't even want him and will let him at the drop of a hat just to free up his ridiculous wages. Dream all you want but I heard it so many times, so and so will take, he will do well with them, just needs better players etc. The fact is he has had so many chances to prove himself and fails every time and that's why no one in football will touch him with a barge pole.

Such nonsense. Seizure never sat on the bench for a year. Murphy did. Didn't you notice? Seizure was swanning around London being a well paid tourist then went to Toronto being fearful of his World Cup place. Joey was f acked out on loan by Hughesless. It wasn't his choice. Marseillle made him feel welcome, so he reciprocated. When we made him feel welcome he reciprocated. Weren't you around last season???

also anyone that has played the game, ie me and chris appreciate players with flair and ability, work horses are easier to sign allbeit the season we finished bottom we had some players with neither.
Didnt know you played mate, thats excellent. who did you play for? Was you prem standard?
Adel in full flow is worth the match admission alone. Still only 25 and is being written off. Think he should be given more of a chance
Yeah, I will agree with you on that, but out of a 38 game season, he needs to be in full flow more than once or twice, hence why Spuds, The Fools and Milan have said no ta
