No. Zamora better back up than Doyle.

I would say, thanks Kev, for the last few months.
But i think he's probably better suited to championship football, so a move to Boro or to Reading, is probably better for him.

I hate to say no to a fellow coutryman of Macca(God bless him), but there are better players to be had out there.

And Macca was from Northern Ireland, not the Republic.

He played on the right and didn't look comfortable but he's a perfect foil for Charlie when he plays just behind him. If anything he's probably better suited to the premiership where we'll be up against it most weeks rather than having to go for it in the championship. He can't be on that much money and for a million quid we could do worse surely? Like Maiga for instance :P

Would be a waste of money - 30 years old and not exactly prolific what's the point? He was a fill gap. Sentiments need to be put aside - a million quid towards McCormack, Rhodes or another players salary on loan for year is money better spent imo

4 goals in league 1 last season, started 27 of those games.

5 months on loan to us, 1 goal scored and 1 goal off his backside.

tries hard but is utter pony. would rather add another 2mil and go sign grabban at bournmouth seeing as they accepted that fee from cardiff.

A million quid is nothing, plus I just think a cheap squad player is worth getting in. He'll offer a lot more than Zamora IMO. Apart from the last few months Bobby did absolutely **** all but scored the 120 mill goal. Call me stupid but I'd much rather keep Doyle than Zamora. Runs the channels and offers much more outside the box. A cut price deal for a squad player, no harm in that at all. If he was to be our main man next season yes I'd be worried but if we signed him as a squad player in addition to another 2 strikers then what's the problem? He's also a lot better than a lot of fans give him credit for

Why splash a mill on a 30 year striker who's scored no more than 10 goals in league 1 and the championship in the last two years. Why sign Doyle when let's fondre was available it don't make sense.
We are premier league now which is a big gulf and the it's well past Doyle's level. Sorry but what is he going to offer mate? He can't be our option on the wing and he doesn't score goals yet you think spanking a mill on him is.worth it because he works hard?

I just think he'd be a useful squad player. Why splash more on Le Fondre when he's literally a 6 yard box player and nothing else? We need team players. Doyle fits into that category. Yes of course, buy a proven PL goalscorer as well. But don't see the problem with taking up a cheap option for a squad player if necessary. As Harry said, we need players who will put themselves about and run through brick walls. Not saying Doyle should be a starter, but another option from the bench bought from wolves for peanuts surely is worth a gamble? Buy others as well obviously but he's more suited to the premier league than the championship IMO. He virtually kept wolves up on his own little more than 2-3 years ago. Given the opportunity I think he'd thrive again. A cheap signing who is experienced and can run the channels. also 'spanking a million' - youre acting as if a million quid is a lot of money when it aint. Well worth the gamble

                                YES

Hard working honest player who was a great Prem striker and maybe just needs some re-vitalisation

I wouldn't for a mill (does someone have a "friend" on Wolves Agent staff???) and wages need to be sensible but a 2 year deal for say £300k and wage in line with new policy all good for me.
                                Great in air
                                Positionally good
                                Strong
                                Experienced but not an OAP
Lacks pace but far from slow

                                Seems to have the spirit.

                                It's a YES from me
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.
