so we will get around 18,000 odd rangers,10,000 aways,4,000 tourists,a few corporates and a few thousand empty seats in a 40k stadium. if that is the plan i for one pray it never happens.
better ways of getting a new ground than selling your soul to sky/other w hores. one day the boom of the premiership will end and so will plenty of clubs whose pipe dreams were too big for them.

What makes you think the new stadium will be for football only? Phil Beard is on record as saying it'll be multi-purpose. If you know it's going to be used just for football I'd be glad to read about it.

Yer dont forget the ****ing Kylie fans and the 1d lot so we will need to be out the ground a bit sharpish. Heard Fernandes done a deal with Gerry Cottle to rent the pitch out on weeknights for £500 a throw...bet Uncle Tone is rubbing his little piggy hands together thinking about all the dosh he is gonna rake in for him and his boys. As for Phil the Beard he must be good at something so i assume he was only employed for phase 2 of their "project" and the new venue.

Here's a quote from Phil Beard:

Besides, no one says you have to go and see Brucie. Why are you so against the stadium earning money when it's not being used for football?

Actually, don't we allocate around 3k of our 18.5k to away fans at present, depending on demand? That would equate to around 7k fans in a 40k stadium.

Proportionately, yes. But out the this theoretical 40k; at there would be 20k tops proper Rs in there (the rest tourists and corporates), and thus we would be like the away fans in our stadium. IMO anyway.

Well, I would hope that we can attract those fans that don't go much or at all these days, plus attracting new fans. We had loads in Cardiff for the play-off final.
