I really do not like the idea that the likes of Fulham and Brentford could leave us behind. By staying where we are, we can forget about ever growing as a club.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Isnt the problem that football as a "business" will never bring in massive profits. For all his failings The orange one spotted this.
QPRs wages are 90% of revenue, is the issue we are not getting in enough revenue or are wages too high?
All clubs are skint and in massive debt save for Arsenal who are run properly and the likes of Blackpool that had balanced books when they went up, didn't go crazy and simply pocketed the sky money for a rainy day.
At one point all that was needed was premiership money to become sustainable, then it's a new stadium. For some clubs it's champions league is the decider, then you have to win the champions league ....
Simply chasing rainbows and just adding debt. The problem for QPR is small enough to get into serious trouble, at least Real, utd etc are too big to fail and Chelsea and city have owners who are willing to pump the cash in.
AB at one stage talked of taking things slowly and becoming self sufficient, building a new stadium and spending £200m or whatever in the hope we break even doesn't appear to support this.
If someone at the commencement of MHs reign had sat back and thought "what is this bloke upto" let's just stop him, then our history would be different but no everyone with authority bought into it and look where we ended up, therefore I have no issues with posters now shouting out "ICEBERG"Last edited by TBLOCKRANGER; 15-09-2013, 12:33 PM.

I don't suppose anyone has considered that the club may have brought in specialists to carry out a feasibility study to see if what's being proposed is viable? I don't believe for a moment that this is all being done on a whim.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

TF head of a multi national company accepted he was taken for a ride from people he trusted over last 2 seasons, not that
far reaching to think those who are "advising" him on the move are any better equipped. Business is full of specialists advising on procurements and contracts that were completely useless.
My position is I don't know why we are moving, if T & C had come up with such a concept, we would all be up in arms but because it's TF (who has actually had a worse history) we somehow have to accept it.
Really surprised info on the move and reasons weren't sent out to st holders and members, just explaining the reason and why a 40k stadium is feasible. At the start of TFs reign st holders were sent by email a survey of LR and how facilities could be improved, so don't see why we can't be sent something about new proposals.
I'm happy at LR, don't think facilities are that bad, people moan of restricted, but any one with an ounce of enthusiasm for the club can get tickets for nearly all matches save for utd and Leeds last game of the season in unrestricted part of the ground. All mates from other clubs who have been to LR from those who support small teams to utd love the ground. Wish our own fans stop putting our home ground down, it's never let us down.
My only guess as to why we are moving, is that loads of proposed development in and around the area (eg HS2) and it may make commercial sense to be part of it and move, I don't know because the club has never explained it. If this is the driver then I doubt it's about expanding fanbase, more property development opportunity.Last edited by TBLOCKRANGER; 15-09-2013, 01:39 PM.

I do understand the concern of most about leaving Loftus Road. There's a lot of nostalgia about the place and the fact that the core support is not more then 15-18k. However, we must look forward. If we honestly wants to build the club to reach higher then we ever taught possible to be achievable, then a move is a must. Logically, if you have a 40k Staduim it can be filled occasionally. However, if the capacity is 18k as it is now, you cannot have more then that!

A couple of years ago we played MK Dons away in the cup. The game was at a stadium that was designated for use if England's 2018 bid was successful. Anyone who's been there knows the upper deck has no seats. Yet the atmosphere was ok the day we played them.
For anyone that is concerned about a half empty stadium should think about the possibility of us just using the lower deck and closing off upstairs. It could have blue and white sheets covering the upstairs seats. Then, if/when we grow, we have the room to do it. It will also be used to host other events which would bring in some much-needed revenue.
With careful seating planning, there's no reason why the fans can't create a good atmosphere in a new 40k stadium.
Here's a link to Stadium MK which had a capacity of 22k when we played there:
