Would you like a new stadium?

Being 6ft 4 I think if you ask any tall person then the extra leg room would be nice. Not too bothered about facilities but feeling in pain for the 2nd half would be something I wouldn't missI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

If you asked any football fan who supports a club that still plays in an old stadium, do you want a new shiney stadium, the response will be an overwhelming "yes", in the same way my wife constantly looks on Zoopla and wants to move to a £1.5m house and doesn't understand why not
People need to be a bit more intelligent, a lot of the fanbase especially regulars know we have a small support and it didn't expand in the premiership to any real level (no waiting lists for st holders for eg).
TF talks of a 40k stadium and posters on here use meaningless terms in support such as "build and they will come" (even at saints when they dropped out of the prem their support went down by about a 1/3 and don't mention Coventry, even swans only went to 21k), "increase revenue streams" (as if we are champions league Arsenal competing with Utd), we were big in the day (we weren't and in any event st prices weren't £509 and no club I know who have built a new stadium reduced prices, they have all gone up).
Almost euphoria in certain quarters that we trust TF, if T&C had been in charge over the last two years resulting in humiliation and relegation and they then said trust us we are moving to a 40k stadium, it would be uproar.
TF in my view when he took over got the "feel" of the club wrong, bringing in MH and his sidekicks was a disaster, posters on here were saying "we are premiership now, new QPR, get rid of old players that got us up, Warnocks a fool, Bosingwa is champions league, TF is wonderful, we will be top 6 in 4 yrs time, watch out Chelsea, we are going to be massive blah blah
Blah) the same lot that are now thinking a 40k stadium makes sense.
I live in West London and have done so all my life, I don't see any appetite that a QPR fanbase is on the verge of a massive expansion. New neighbour supports Pompey as that's where he was brought up and a spurs fan has moved in down the rd.
Another mate down the rd is a gooner but gave up his st as child turned up, but even he says now the club are having problems selling their quota and he gets emails twice a week trying to flog him a st. He said when he first got a st he was on a waiting list that was on par with being a member at Lords.
Reality is certain posters on here are anti move in the same way I tell my wife we ain't moving as we can't afford it and what's the point. The fact she has a go at me and calls me a loser ain't going to change my position.
The club has provided no feasible data as to why a 40k stadium is required or how they plan to fill it. In the absence of this how can anybody make an educated assessment that such a plan makes any sense.
The fact that we just trust him doesn't fill me with confidence as TF sanctioned Boswingwa, Mbia etc on wages that probably equated to 5000 st holders each.
The only way QPR will expand is we achieve massive success on the pitch which would include a premiership win and Champions league football, in the same way the owner of Chelsea spent £750m or so on achieving this for Chelsea, however Chelsea didn't base their success on loan signings and Bobby. Also with all the success Chelsea are still in a 40k stadium and dont appear to be in a great hurry to move. At least Highbury and WHL were far too small with large waiting lists.
Everybody wants to improve in life and move on but you also have to look at who you are, we aren't a 40k stadium club even in the day and our recent history it's questionable if we are a 18k club.
Even Fulhams owner worked out a move doesn't make sense, the only other club in London who thinks a 40k stadium is a good idea is Palace, who two yrs ago were in administration and as soon as they get a sniff of the prem, decide they are Real Madrid...just nonsense.Last edited by TBLOCKRANGER; 15-09-2013, 11:14 AM.
