Do you mean from every real club with passionate fans that still are part of their localclub /community or do you mean fans of clubs that are now soulless global brands ?

Lets not kiss goodbye ,what makes us special , in the hope of becoming the sort of club people who support real clubs despise

I'm talking about passionate fans from each club, don't think any of us wants todays football but times have changed.

Just not in a positive mood at moment, even last season when we were mathmatically down I stayed strong and thought we would survive.
Last summer I couldn't wait for the season to start, some great signings on paper and a manager who promised that we wouldn't be in a relegation battle again.

        Just not excited at moment.

Gonna wait till we beat Sheff Weds 5-0, go top of the table and have that promotion within reach!!!

Schools wont ever be full of QPR kids even if we do sell our soul and become a big club , because we will allways be secound fiddle to Man u, Arsenal , Spurs ,Liverpool etc
Yes if the board leaves we are in the s hit , but only because they have put us there,

Why would any of this change if you have Asian fans walking around in Rangers scarfs?

Everything changes but the changes are kinda gradual so you wouldnt even notice them much. Imagine 20 years ago, discussing QPR on the interwebs? Nah mate, will never take off!

Look at Chelsea and Fulhams support and how much we and others take the **** out of them. Plastic fans and tourists, waving their poxy flags and cheering on their "brand". Do we want that down the rangers? no thanks. Dont want rangers to lose its identity as a small family club with a strong loyal fervent fanbase like we have always had in my lifetime. Its already becoming apparent that we seem to have attracted some Fulhamesqe fan types so thats about as far of a change that i can take! Dont want to play in too large capacity stadium surrounded by tourists and neutrals out on a visit to London, dont want to become a "brand" or a "Boutique" as Flabbio described it. Dont want to lose our traditions and sell our soul just so our rich owners can make another few million. We are a club steeped in history and tradition and we dont need to become a "new" rangers as the old one is just fine thanks. Dont want to become a "brand" and not too keen on becoming global either.

                Well said that man.

We all have a pop at Foolham & their plastic tourist fan base, but we have the potential to be exactly the same.

This is the small time mentality we need to move away from. Not a fan of Fulham or the scum, but is that the only thing we can have a pop at them about? Their tourists? They have success, trophys, security, decent stadiums, top players, Premier League football. What about us? They view us as nothing more then dog sh*t, despite we being a bigger and more successful club then both in the past. They moved forward, and so should we.

There is still a loyal support from the "old days" at both. We wouldnt suddenly lose our traditions just because we become more popular. People keep harping on about attracting the local youth first, but fuk me where have they gone in the past 15 years? I've seen our fanbase remain the same but Fulhams increase tenfold. What does that tell you?

That they are wisely marketing locally rather than half way round the world? But also because they have a large contingent of tourist and neutral types that would not be welcome at rangers in my view. Lets get the local kids involved..."Kids go free" or "kids for a pound". Thats the kind of marketing i am all in favour of. Advertise kids go free on the local radio or Talksport like i have heard Brentford/Orient/West ham do. Advertise on the side of the road or on the wall of buildings like i see other London clubs do...why is our marketing all about Asia ffs?...oh yer cos thats where our Chairmans airline is.

If we are to remain a small club, why bother with signing like Hooper and everyone else?

We are better off doing what we normally do and buy from lower leagues and hope we find a few gems.

That's the only wages we'd be able to support as a club.

I thought we're advertising season tickets in the papers?

We are advertising season tickets because we havent sold enough and we have a huge wage bill. I am talking about investing in the youth for our future fanbase. "Kids go Free" and "Kids For a Pound" etc and instead of trying to become a global brand how about a becoming a local football club that the local kids would find attractive to support and is inexpensive to let them get a taste. Get them in and get them hooked which is probably how quite a few of our current fanbase became the loyal fans they are today. Marketing is fine if it is marketing for the good of the club's future and not just about some millionaires airline and F1 team over in Asia or India or wherever the **** Tony's airline is looking to go to next. Three hundred local kids hooked and coming to games for the future or three thousand Koreans or Indians thousands of miles away buying shirts ? no brainer for me....but then thats because i am a fan and and only the clubs interests to me are paramount.

I agree with the free tickets but we have a small ground, we can't just give seats away for nothing. All the other clubs around us have bigger grounds and they can afford to do this.

I'm 100% sure when we have the new ground that they will give or do something like that. Our ground is just too small to be able to do that right now, maybe 100 to 200 to schools but no more.

I'm sorry MYU but if these money men can be taking such a huge hit with our wage bill then what is 500 or 1000 seats given away to kids at a tenner a pop? They spend more than that marketing our "brand" around the world (or limited to Air Asia flight plans anyway) i am sure. Whats £5k or £10k for a few home games when they are wasting money abroad trying to turn us into something we are not nor never will be.

Keep it down, if fernandes hears that and starts to believe it then we will be a nice snuggly local team groundsharing with brentford before you know it

Global fansbase activity as per those images only comes with sustained success, i wouldnt worry about us generating those sort of fans for the time being and even if we didnt it wont impact that greatly on our own support. Arsenal fans and Man U fans still have their local pubs where everyone knows each other, trust me not too many japanese, korean or chinese fans wonder into the Robin Hood on Urmston lane in Manchester for happy hour or quiz nite
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks
