Old Oak common in the main is going to be an office and residential development with a small retail element don't think its on a par or competing with Westfield. Guessing our involvement would encompass the entertainment element

40,000 seater stadium seems quite big ,with all the residential and office space

this is true, with the amount of travellers using it as an interchange, plus the 12,000 new homes and the Office workers, you'd think there would be an opportunity, albeit small, for retail,as well as entertainment

at the moment, its only the transport part that is certain. The plans for Office and housing have only been put forward as an example of the area's potential, perhaps as a way of drumming up interest from the private sector(and possible investors)All the more reason we get in there quick

The description I heard of the development was something a bit like Canary Wharf and looking at the plans on the H&F website it would appear to have that kind of feel about it so I don't think a stadium would be that out of place and would probably complement the development.

Guessing the retail aspect would be along the lines of O2 where you have the parade of bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc for pre and post events in the stadium. One generates income for the other.

Seen this video on the development, cheesy song but gives a good impression of what they're trying to do to the area - didn't see any stadium in the video though but maybe that can be added after!!!
