Now someone with a bit of floating capital if the site is true/confirmed, will also get in on the act and open a few boozers around the area as they would clean up. From memory local pubs would be The Castle (North Acton) and the Fishermans Arms (Willesden Junction) and obviously Wishing Well going towards East Acton

Agree 25-32k stadium plenty big enough with sensible planning to increase size should it be needed? It's been done before!

My concern is packing it, I know other clubs have increased attendances but that's a combination of steadily doing well and being one city clubs.
Just think Londons different in that some kid in Acton is more likely to support Arsenal or Chelsea or even utd than us and no spanking new stadium is not going to change that.
Spurs realised locality for a london club is no longer important and that's why they were going to go to the Olympic stadium.
We don't have many supporters and the only way to get more is not a new stadium but a successful team with top players, so if the dream is to become reality we shouldn't in theory be selling any of our top players, if we do sell our best players to balance the books then I'm afraid this is tinsel town.
We are a joke, the only club that is close to being relegated with massive wage issues but somehow we are all optimistic in that we will buck all relegated clubs trends with much larger fanbases by becoming self financing by building a "leisure complex" in Park Royal with a retractable roof. The Mittals wouldn't up their offer by £20m to buy the club why would they put any of their own money into a £200m or whatever it will be to build this state of the art complex which will take concerts from Wembley stadium, arena, emirates, twickers and 02. At one stage Tony was tweeting he was going to walk.

Lastly even if we do have a new stadium ticket prices will go up as they inevitably do to finance a stadium they did at Arsenal and Cardiff and cannot see how they won't with us.

I think what people are forgetting here is that a new ground is bigger then just QPR. They will not be building a new stadium to use just 20 times a year which is the case now there building a ground which will be multi purpose and will generate cash and if it is linked to PRC/Old Oak Common tying it into another venture which if merged correctly will also generate money.

You can argue there already ahead of the game and planning proactively as in West London are we not about to lose two of the major conference/concert venues in Wembley Arena and Earls Court being shut down and sold off??? I think I read somewhere that's the case so straight away there is a niche in West London and it would appear we are part of the answer in filling the void. Add to that that the venue/ground will have links across the UK 30mins to Birmingham you open up another channel of potential revenue.

Also what has not been mentioned by anyone is that Old Oak Common used to be one of the terminus for the Eurostar so the tracks clearly connect Paris to Park Royal so whats not to say that PRC at a later date does not only open up avenues to other parts of the UK but also Northern Europe if it was to become a passenger terminus for the Eurostar such as St Pancras again more opportunity to attract money from further afield.

This ground/project is huge and QPR are potentially just a minor part of the puzzle. The only assurance I would want from the Board is that if it is PRC/Old Oak Common that the ground is owed by QPR as it is now or would the venture be more on the basis of what Coventry have i.e. TF/Amit/Mittel own the ground and QPR lease it from them

"BBC TV Centre, which was nicknamed ‘the dream factory’, will finally close its doors on Easter Sunday (March 31).

"... The BBC sold the 14-acre site for £200million last year and there are now emerging proposals to build a hotel, flats, a cinema and offices on the site. The three main television studios will be refitted and leased out to production companies, including the BBC, from 2014. The site will also be home to the BBC's commercial arm, BBC Worldwide. If planning approval is granted, the redevelopment is set to see the forecourt opened up to the public."

yes,the transport part of it is going to happen anyway.Crossrail is already underway and the Government are pressing ahead with HS2.With Earls Court going, there is scope for another indoor entertainment venue, especially one so well connected to local and national transport links. The population of London is expected to grow by over a million in the next few years, and there are plans for 12,000 new homes in this development area(much needed considering the chronic shortage of affordable housing)I'm sure when Westfield was first mentioned, people asked if there was room for a shopping center of this size, sandwiched as it is between the West End and High Street Kensington
