I have just read an interview with Fernando Torres in which he claims his ideal World Cup final would be Spain versus England – well he needs to worry more about whether he will be fit to play in the tournament. The Liverpool striker reckons England have a mental problem which stops them doing well in major competitions, personally I think its that Fabio Capello's team do not have enough good players. Spain are favourites in the World Cup betting odds for a reason, because they have great players like Torres and Villa – but the former is currently out injured for the rest of the season and could face a race against time to be fit for the World Cup. Torres reckons Spain have the best first XI and England have the second-best first XI, well if that is the case there is certainly a big gulf in class between one and two.
