We are a team who has struggled with managers, 10 managerial changes since September 2007, and I do cast jealous glances at clubs who have a great man in charge.
Watching Everton beat Manchester United on Saturday made me really appreciate how good a manager David Moyes is. He has been a great success on Merseyside with a limited amount of money and has shown he has a brilliant eye for spotting and nurturing young talent.
I am sure Moyes will go onto great things in the game and agree with this expert from Betfair Football that he could take over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford when his compatriot retires.
While I am not saying that we should get a manager as good as Moyes, I look to the fact that Preston took a gamble on him when he was inexperienced. Surely our board should be able to spot a manager who has real potential for the future and that is where I would like them to look next.
Names such as Gareth Southgate have been linked, but he has tried and failed at the top level so I would love QPR to unearth that next 'future David Moyes' that could take us forward over the next few years.
