In an interview in Icelandic newspaper he tells the story. To stop all this speculation about a failed medical
Was contacted by QPR in Malta where he was with the Icelandic team and offered a loan contarct ending 1.1.2009. And if he played played certain amount of games he would be signed permanently.
Arrived at practice on friday. 10 minutes before the practise he was handed a contract where final day of the loan period was 31.1.2009 not 1.1.2009 as had been talked about. HH could not accept 31.1.2009 because if he did that he could not go to another team in the transfer window if QPR would not sign him permanently. People at QPR said they would change the date. HH was told at the practice that he would start against Watford. After practice he got the same contract without date changes so he went back to Bolton. He would not sign for a team which were not keeping their words.

qpr-report, with all due respect, when you are many miles away relying on pastings, these are the kind of pastings you should use
If you're going to ask me to post links, I don't think it's much to ask that you actually provide links that work.
And having looked at those links (and posted them on my site to help you out), I have zero idea what you're trying to say. I've already posted several pieces on my messageboard re the time of the Helguson signing/non signing.
Your central claim is that Sousa lied. And that Helguson passed a medical. How these links help, I cannot imagine.
From The Times - November 20, 2008
".....the club set to announce the signing of Heidar Helguson on loan from Bolton Wanderers until January. The Iceland forward, who scored the only goal in a friendly international against Malta last night, failed a medical in West London last week, but the deal was resurrected after QPR agreed to pay half his £16,000-a-week wages and Bolton agreed to take him back if he was injured during his loan spell. ..>"
London Informer/Paul Warburton - November 19, 2008
"...About a pace behind the new man through the QPR entrance will follow Heidar Helguson. The loan deal for the Bolton forward was scuppered on Friday after the Icelander failed a medical.
But a frantic re-negotiation amid the search for the new manager has landed the ex-Fulham player until January with Bolton now paying half his £16,000-a-week wages.
If Helguson breaks down with injury, he returns straight away to The Reebok." http://www.londoninformer.co.uk/london-s....3 489-22294204/
So two newspaper reports "confirm" that Helguson DID fail a medical. Now what remains a question: Did Helguson have another medical which he subsequently passed? (And was it a real, vigorous medical)
