First of all I’d like to apologise to all members of this website for the problems that we have had in the past few months. First problem we had was that our new forum was not supported by the company we were with and had to move to another company who would support us.

Everything as you know was working fine and out the blue our site was suspended because we caused the new company server to slow down, which in other words means that other customers who had websites on the same sever would slow right down.

We paid for 3 years hosting in full and lost some money, we also lost our site as we had nowhere we could move to, a warning from the company would have been nice for us all. Myself & Pete sat down and discussed our options, all we knew at this time was to get this website back up and running was to have a dedicated server, the advice we got from everyone was the same. Having a dedicated server is fine but the cost to have one is very high and it’s a 12 month contract, was it worth it, I’m sure we will find out?

What I didn’t know about a dedicated server is that we have full control of the server, which means that we have to install and setup everything ourselves, this includes the domain name which remains with our old company for the time being.

I’ve had help from newcrosshoop who is now setup as Admin on our new forum and also had help from PeterG, correcting me on advanced settings with DNS, without them both we’d still be down today.

The website and forum touch wood is working like it should and hope the problems we had will no longer come back. If for any reason we do have problems it will be to do with settings that we have set, we will get it right if it’s not already. We may have some small problems but please be assured that we will do our best to have it sorted as soon as we can.

The latest news regarding WATRB website is that we are working on a new site which we hope will be ready for the new season.
