It will be interesting to see where the jockeys migrate in the home straight if conditions stay as they are. High numbers are normally favoured but a faster strip towards the stands side could cause a conundrum. This is very open and the suggestion is a very small stake on Just Spike on his reappearance. He has only been seen on turf three times but he has a win and a third to his name from those outings. He isn't ideally drawn, may need the race and probably wouldn't welcome much rain so he does come with plenty of negatives. However he is far less exposed than the majority of these and he looks over priced on that basis alone. Stable in good order and send just the one on a 300 mile round trip.

Looks to have benefited from a change of scenery and ran out a decisive winner on the A/W last time out on just her second start for new connections. Up nine pounds for that win but still well weighted on her old form and will handle the ground if the predicted rain arrives. Gets the use of a very good five pound claimer and comes from a stable who are not frequent visitors to the track. Has pace drawn adjacent to her so she should get a good tow into the race although she may need the gaps to appear in the latter stages.

Can only ever be a speculative selection nowadays but if they go hard up front he is always likely to be a danger and he has fallen to a mark from which he can capitalise if he is on a going day. Will handle a bit of cut but has winning form on very fast ground. Has run well on all four previous visits to this track and comes from a yard who had a welcome winner recently.

May not hold an obvious chance but has been seen in a handicap once and that was over five furlongs on firm ground last time out at Bath. Outpaced initially she made up some late ground without being given a hard time and she could be seen to better effect now she steps up in trip. Won a Seller on G/S ground last August so a bit of rain will not ruin her chances. Eye-catching jockey booking.

Versatile regarding trip and looked to be coming to hand over two miles at Folkestone last time out. Reverts to the sort of trip over which she proved effective and progressive last Nov/Dec and still appeals from a mark of 65. May not want too much rain but if conditions remain in his favour then there is a possibility than he can continue improving this season.
