Saturday was yet another profitable day as Redesignation was a winner at Doncaster, sending overall profit for April up to a very healthy +44.5 points.

Hexham 4.00
Ceilidh Lass made some eye-catching late headway in a race which may have been needed at Sedgefield last time out but she may need further than two miles. That maybe the thoughts of her connections as well because she holds an entry over three miles at Perth on Wednesday. One Black Cat comes into this race on the back of a break after falling at Newcastle in December. However she went well on her seasonal reappearance in a Sedgefield handicap, the form of which has held up well since. Most of her form so far has been on slower ground but she seemed to handle faster over 17 furlongs here last May. Still on a feasible mark she is relatively lightly raced and has the assistance of a very good five pound claimer. This race lacks any real strength in depth and the selection should at least get competitive with her own sex at this level.
Selection – ONE BLACK CAT. 1 point E/W @ 9/1 (General)

Pontefract 4.40
Has ground to make up on This One's For Eddy on their running at Nottingham earlier this month but he found more trouble in running than that rival and the stiff finish here will suit a horse who stays a bit further. That was his first run on turf for a while but he had some decent form from much higher marks on grass this time last year. He could be ready to strike from a career low turf mark. There appears to be plenty of pace in the race which should suit and he represents a yard who send just the one to a track where they have been rare visitors in recent seasons.
Selection – LORD THEO. 1 point E/W @ 9/1 (General) N/R

Kempton 5.00
Still a maiden after five races over hurdles but he has a progressive profile and the form of his Maiden/Novice races stacks up well in this company. He makes his handicap debut on a mark of 115 and that looks very reasonable based on his level of performance this season. He showed plenty of ability in Bumpers last season, acts on decent ground and has proven his ability over further, so a decent pace will be in his favour. The tongue tie that was worn for the first time in his last race is retained.
Selection – DOVER’S HILL. 1 point E/W @ 12/1 (Stan James) 1st 6/1 11/1 available with Bet365 this morning

Kempton 6.05
Selection – ICE BUCKET. 3 point win @ 4/1 (General) 2nd

Windsor 7.50
Selection – STRONG STORM. 3 point win @ 7/2 (Boylesports)
