Will be signing for us in January on a short loan deal,to the end of the season. This comes from Matthew Collecott.
No spin,no bull.
Would be great if it materialises. Not done a lot for Spurs, but a goal virtually every other game not only for Spartak Moscow but also his national team Russia.Age 28,6'2" and quick, just what we need to compliment an impressive squad.
He cost 14m, has over 30 caps for Russia and at 27 is in his prime. Surely he's too big a player to drop down to the Championship, even on a short term deal?!!!!
eminently possible - hes off back to Spartak for the start of the Russian season in March, but needs to be fit to force his way into the Russia WC squad...
Spurs have no reserve side so they will need to get him match fit to sell him which is where a 6 week loan will come in handy for them....
imo it would be a bad idea for us - we'd have to drop Simpson who we want to sign permanantly to play an unfit Pavlyuchenko.....

Not dismissing your claims mate, but I can't see it happening. He's too high profile.
In all honesty, as said above...He could have a bad impact on us. Very good player but another who's style is similar to a very in-form and happy Jay Simpson. I wouldn't drop Jay for anyone at the moment as not only would it be unfair, but would also send out the wrong message to the rest of the team.
I'd much rather see a goal scoring lump and/or a goal poacher to come in alongside Simpson.
